The indecisive One
"All's fair in love and war" is a phrase used to justify unfair behaviour in extreme [?] situations, i.e. love and war.
I was thinking about this phrase while totally not getting on with a game 'Space Craft.' I am, apparently, a really sore loser when it comes to games that involve strategy. Or.. games that involve strategy of which I'm poor at calculating..
I felt like it was unfair to bombard my weak side to take advantage of me. Isn't that what's supposed to happen? They look for a weak spot, exploit it; you look for a weak spot, exploit it..
I don't like that dynamic, though. Maybe that's the 'old' way of thinking? 'Fight fair' Let's us both use fists instead of weapons of steel or other?
Maybe I'm just a sore loser at war games.
I only get to use the internet on my days off. I'm sure that rings true for lots of other people.
Considering it's a way for me to just zone out and ignore stress.. I don't nearly get enough internet time.
I started drinking today at 10:30am. Isn't that a bad thing?
I want to drink all day. Too bad I have to find alternatives to beer.. Beer tastes not that good to me.
I love you all. Sort of.
I wish I would get that letter already. It's a sign of pure devotion, or something? I think that ..hopefully it's not just obligation. "omg.. that crazy bitch."
The other day I was dreaming about being at the ocean's edge.
A huge wave came, and I dove for the bottom of it.
It crashed behind me, on top of me, and there was lots of swirling around in the water. When most of the turbulence was over, I was rushing from the bottom up. My eyes were open. There was deep blue all around me, and dark shadows of the ocean creatures. I was being propelled to the surface. I knew up from down. I couldn't see the ocean's top, though.
I could tell what some of the shapes were. Towards the top, right before I broke the surface, I saw a smallish shark shape. I felt my heart beat faster than it already was at the realization that the shark probably saw me before I saw it.
I really felt the water, the pressure from being below the surface, in a huge body of water.
I woke up around this point. Right before I came out for air.
Makes me think of the dreams where you're falling, and you wake up before you hit the ground.
I've never had one of those dreams.
