Wow. It's been a bit too long since I've written in this thing..

Updates!!

I had to talk to the roommates (Jason's) the friday before I started at Google. (Which was the day after I posted in here last.)
They seemed a bit taken aback by me asking. They said they'd get back to me on the weekend coming up.
Well. They never did. It's been what?.. 3 weeks since I talked with them, and it hasn't been mentioned since. New information as come into play, though. During last week, the roommates decided to leave the dog at the house for the whole weekend, while they went to play in the snow. They left the dog with a pot of water, and maybe there was enough food for the two days, but, dogs don't know when to stop eating. So they either left enough, and the dog ate it, or they only gave him food for that day. They didn't tell me or Jason of this. We came home to find their cars here, but them gone, and the door between the garage and the back yard open for the dog.
We thought maybe they left for the day or whatever. The dog howled for a good part of the night. Then the next night.
When they came back, I think one of them sent Jason an email on monday saying that the guy that was on the couch for the last couple of days (minus the weekend) was moving into the 4th room. He was going to be paying rent as well. And he would be moving his belongings in this week.
Needless to say.. that was more than slightly annoying for Jason and I. Not only do they not have enough respect for Jason to *tell* him that they are leaving the dog for the weekend; they don't even discuss with him that the guy was going to be a 4th roommate!!
If I was Jason.. I would have had a huge ass screaming match. But, maybe that's a volitle (sp) person's way of handling things. He's keeping his cool. But we're avoiding being there. There is just too much tension.
Wednesday night (I think it was then), the roommates decided to tell Jason the story of why the guy needed to move in so quickly. It was a sob story. Jason is doing quite well with not betraying his true feelings, so that he doesn't burn bridges with these people.
Maybe that's because he's known them for longer?
Maybe..

So. Jason and I are going to look for a place to live. Maybe with Ryan. We'll see.....

Updates on work: I've so far done lots of my main purpose of being there. Then I've stretched a bit and done a few other tasks. It's all a learning experience. Oh which, I've learned I'd rather be doing something else than my main purpose. :oD But I guess that's the way work goes. You're going to have to do something you don't like.
At least I get paid well! (I think so, at least..) $10/hr. I got my first check last saturday..
I'm waiting for my back checks to come in the mail so I can set up direct deposit, and get my money sooner than having to drive to SF every week for the check.. Then depositing it, and waiting for it to clear..

Hmmm.. Only other thing I can say is that I'm being kept from the internet because of my hours, and avaliablity of the internet is low. Jason's laptop can connect, but we all know that laptops are a pain in ass a lot of the time. I miss my computer. :o)
